New products...

Wasn't sure where to put this, but this seemed like a decent place.

Any hints at new products to come in 2018? A few other companies have started hinting so I thought I would ask as you guys are my favorite !

What specifically are you interested in?

Smaller tents and packs (specifically new designs, frames, suspension changes, and how you promise to bring back X50 )...so almost everything.

A bit of everything , but nothing is currently ready. A lot of our new packs were done late 2017. Currently a lot of focus has been on instruction updates.

Some new pack fabric options special runs, some mid range size packs between the Merlin and Gila, some more minimalistic shelters and accessories. It's more important to have them nailed then a certain time. We should have a better read on timeline in the next few weeks.

That's exciting about the mid range size packs...are you looking at stuff that mounts to the frame or that has it's own suspension?

And thank you for sharing what you can.

I don't know how others feel, but fwiw, I think it would be cool if you guys did a annual or biannual release of new products instead of steadily throughout the year as you feel comfortable with them. I know for me, the constant flood of improvements (which I appreciate) and the new products gives me consumer anxiety...wondering if I should wait for the next big thing. At least if a more regular release date it could make all that a little easier. Hopefully that makes sense.

I’m excited about your mention of minimal shelters. I’m leaning towards getting a DST tarp but might hold off. Any other hints about them you care to share.
