My first post, hello

Postby FrankK » Tue Aug 22, 2017 4:09 pm

I've been looking at Seek Outside for over a year and I never knew there was a forum! I can't wait to read more about this gear. I just ordered a backpack and I'm really looking forward to using it. It is the revolution suspension with a Merlin daypack and two of the waist belt pouches. I'll have to get a big stuff sack or dry bag, but I figure it's a real good beginning. I hunt mule deer and last year got a forked buck, hiking head, skin and meat out ten miles from the truck. It was miserable but I'm looking forward to going again. And now I'll be packing in style!

Congrats on the purchase man...I think you'll be really happy with that and a dry bag.

And welcome too. Hope to hear of another 10 mile pack out for you, but as you said, this time in style.

The backpack arrived! I love the way it is put together, I tried it on a little (don't want to get too much household smell on it) I'm just really pleased with the stitching, it feels like it's on a different level from something mass produced. I installed the belt pockets through the top pals strap on the belt so they dangle, free of the bottom strap. I'm not sure if that is how they are supposed to go but I figure if you have to slide down something at least they can pivot upside downs before they snag.
