Captured Mode for Hipbelt

Postby RPJR » Thu Jul 20, 2017 6:30 am

In the video, you mention that the "new frames" can be used in the "captured" mode. My Unaweep is from Jan. 2016...can I use this in captured mode?

I want to experiment with the lumbar pad, dual hip belt and captured mode since my hips get some numbness with the what I have now. Thanks Kevin!

I don't know it might or might not since the change was made early in the year . If the back pad on your pack has sort of a downward triangle with some webbing then it can. If it is square it can not .

That being said the dual buckle may help on hip numbness ... And maybe lumbar will help but probably not captured .

look at the very last part of this video about the belt:

if you set the normal belt extra tight, once it is on your back I do not see how much difference you'd have from a captured mode.

Not much difference between captured and the highest setting but there is a difference in usability (Captured is easier to shoulder).
