I have the original connecting tarp and here is the pitch I get using base pole at 63 inches and 61 on the vestibule end. As Kevin says the zippers are not covered and there is a small opening between the tarp and vestibule but I'm still fine with that. It will be interesting to see the new tarp when its ready.

The location was West Central Alberta. I think the central stove location works best for me.
I'm tall so two people end to end would work but it would be tight.(I'm 6' 4") and it would also depend on iif you use the stove. . I usually take my nest for the base but thus trip I didn't use it and it was one of those rain- snow- hail trips and the ground was soaked so I did have a little condensation. I was glad I had the stove!
