Any plans to make a nest or inner that is compatible with the silvertip?

Also any pictures of the silvertip with the screen door option?

We've made such nests in the past but they're not high on the list at the moment. Most Silvertip/BT2s sell to folks who prioritize weight enough that nests did not prove popular. Screen door photos are in the works.

I've got another Silvertip question...are there plans to design an adjustable pole suited for the Silvertip?

If so, any idea on when? If not, would the 4-man CF pole work with maybe a section removed, and flipping the adjuster?

Another option I'm considering is the .600" or.710"' CF from Ruta Locura, do you have any knowledge of the quality/strength of those poles for use in bad wind or snow loading?

Thanks, Shane

Not sure. If there is enough demand sure but a trekking pole works well. A cimarron pole with longer adjuster works fine but is overkill

Shane,

I have one of Bearpawd's thickest Aluminum polls and it works just fine for my LBO. It seems plenty robust and you can specify the range of adjustment you want. I know when I ordered it as a backup to my small shelter pole from SO (or rather to see if I liked the folding design better than the compression locking design) I also wrote Ruta Locura and they said their .710 pole would hold work for the shelter too. I think I even asked if it would work for the Cimarron.

Camber, thanks for the heads-up on BWD. I sent them a request for a custom pole. .742" diameter Easton aluminum, adjustable from 57-64".

We'll see what they can offer.

....$65 plus shipping.

I'm going with that.

Yes it was very reasonable. I forgot to add it does have some slight bulk as the pieces don't nest inside of each other. The SO small carbon pole is much nicer in that regard. I just don't like those twist compression locks a lot.
