Fabric

When looking at differences in fabric, is the fabric of the 12 person/16 person 30d? I am just curious be use when searching there was a video Kifaru put out on how their 30d was special "high tensile". Not that it really matters, because I obviously SO stuff is bombproof from reviews.

Yes 30d Cordura. They have to say something don't they ? I am familiar with said video and it has more questions than answers.

Haha, yeah, it was definitely a confusing video. I have never heard any issues with leaking so it baffled me when they did the "pull apart" test showcasing lots of little holes near the thread. Thanks for the response Kevin. Gotta save up a bit more then I am placing my order with you :D

I own both, seekoutside and Kifaru,i am not going crazy with either fabric, youll have to be careful anyway and wash and take care of it,always dry it before long storage.I can say kifaru fabric looks and feel tougher and will last longer but you cant go wrong with both...seekoutside make boomproof tipi...my 4 man saw a lot of bad weather and still in good shape, some minors things but not much.

Dave and Amy Freeman lived for a year in the BWCA, using a SO 8-person tipi.

That is quite a testament to the quality, durability, and craftsmanship that goes into SO's products.
