Evolution Bag on a Revolution Frame

Postby BigSky » Wed Jul 06, 2016 2:09 pm

I recently picked up a Paradox pack bag second hand. I figured, what better way to get into a Paradox pack. More specifically, I bought a Paradox Multicam 6300ci pack bag. I have since discovered this was originally purchased for an Evolution frame. For better description, it has a roll top, side zipper, and two drawstring bottle pockets. Can it be used with a Revolution frame? If so, does it require any modification? Thanks in advance.

It can work with a revolution but works better at certain heights and there are some work around to work better at other heights . Basically the main difference is the Evo was optimized for 24 / 28 to sit flush to bottom of frame. The Revo is optimized at 26 which is where most people were using it. An Evo bag on Revo will work fine at 24 bit ride up a little higher at 26 and 28 unless yo thread the bag on the frame and then put the panel on then it will fit more flush at all heights but the disadvantage is taking the bag off is more work. The easy mod is to put an extra strap at bottom or top for your desired height of you use a different frame height

Thanks Kevin. Wow, just my luck. I should have asked him what frame it was for before I bought it. I just couldn't pass up the good deal. The problem is, evolution frames are now impossible to find. I guess I will probably just end up buying a new Revolution package of some sort and sell the bag. Thanks again for the input Kevin.

It will work , just not be flush to bottom of frame at all heights without a little sewing
