Note it's also on a 24 frame that causes the packbag to be a little looser at the top because there is no frame support on upper few inches

Could a person have buckles added to the regular talon at the top like the day talon? Where the lid attaches.

Do you mean like the buckles at the bottom of the base talon, just added to the top ? I think we could, it would just be a minor custom charge. I'm not sure if you would gain much in terms of ease of use and performance though.

Here is a video offering an overview of what is new.

Hello, glad to see some new products coming out. I do have a lot of questions as well as a lot of interest in purchasing this pack. Most I believe will be answered in the coming days as you release more info so I will be patient and wait.
First question: does the day talon come with a sternum strap? All the pictures of the day talon on any website are always of the bag itself. In this newest video it looks like there could be as the author briefly exposes the left strap I see a buckle but don't want to assume there is.
Second question: can you add an axe loop and a couple of daisy chains to the day talon through the customize option? I would also be open to suggestions about alternative ways to carry my fishing poles on the day talon. I currently use either a REI flash 18 or Chicobag 15 as my day pack and strap my Tenkara rod and or spinning rod on the outside of those packs.
Third question: will you be offering the day talon in your UL material?
I'm interested in specs for your new UL frame.
Also the author from BPL mentioned his early release model had shoulder strap issues that you were looking to correct on future models. Have those changes been made already? I only ask cause from the few photos I can see it seems like the shoulder straps are rather thin. I apologize for the odd questions, I just want to make sure this is the product I want to go with since I can't test drive one. I've been able to get my hands on some of your competitors products this past weekend at the Denver show but I'm still leaning towards Paradox especially after the full review on BPL.
Thank you for your time.

Hi Mythinglink

Thanks for stopping by. I hate to be a big party kill, but most of the new information is out, just refining some of the information and ansering questions.

First the Day talon does have a sternum strap.

Second question: We could probably do that and have also explored the option of making an accessory bottle pocket that straps to the outside. If you are interested in that, we could do it.

No offering in UL material, unless there are a lot of requests. I'm opposed to it for the following reasons. First, the first one we made was in 30D nylon. The weight saving was ever so minimal, and when on the paradox platform the compression panel and load sling take the brunt of the abuse.
The 30D one while still functional is not in good shape. Day packs, also seem to take a lot of abuse in canyons and above timber line as well. The day talon compares well with say a running pack like the ultimate directions, I don't think it weighs any more or barely more. The primary weight is in zipper, harness and places like that.

The new frame saves 3.3 ounces in a 26 inch frame over the 28 inch frame. It is actually the frame I have used the most. It is still 100 lb capable. In fact I carried test loads over 130, and honestly feel it could probably do 200 lbs. However like all things light weight, I would consider it more for those that are willing to take care of gear a bit. Some folks consider themselves hard on gear, and for them I would say use the heavier frame.

Yes we have providing packs with the updated harness for some time. We changed a few minor details which greatly improve comfort. Mainly, we added 3d mesh on the underside, changed foams a bit, made it a bit wider and relocated the location of the load lifters on the frame. We also did some minor tailoring changes. IMO it works very well.

Wow, I did not know the competitors did the ISE show. I've never really seen any of the lightweight packs at the Denver show before.

Thanks for getting back to me, Kevin.

I like the idea of using your hydration sleeve on the outside of the day pack. Would it be possible to have it attach in a way it doesn't flop around? Mainly making sure it has a double attachment at the top and a single on the bottom. From the video it looks as though the double top connectors are there already it would just need one added to the bottom. It certainly adds a bit more protection for my poles versus the way I attach them now to the daisy chains.

The manufacturers of those products were not there themselves. Some of the vendors brought those products in. For example Elk1 brought Tanzing products along with other hunting products. I told the gentleman from BH&A he should bring some of your products for demo. I know that show is mostly outfitters, but it would have been great to get my hands on your product. I had a friend who is a pro hunter try and get in touch with Angie while she was at the Shot show to test it out, but was unable to. It's a huge show from what my friend said so I knew it was a long shot to begin with. A couple of his sponsors did speak highly of your products though.

I look forward to your store being updated so I can make my purchase.
