Anyway , here is a little photo essay .
We camped on the rim the night before in 18 degrees, outside the park in some NF area. The following morning we were on the trail before sun up. It was chilly
[/url]Eli wearing a Paradox with a 24 inch frame and small belt. for reference, he is about 5'3" and 100 lbs. It was a little big, but not bad.
[/url]The river area is very striking. Sort of reminds me of the Black Canyon but not as steep as the Black.
[/url]This was a rive view from some hiking we did the next day

[/url]The hike up from the river seemed to be the hardest part IMO.
Overall it was a fun way to spend some of the Christmas break with the boys.
