LBO system

LBO system

Postby Albaboy » Tue Jun 30, 2015 1:48 pm

Hi guys,
very close to committing to a LBO system.
Am exporting this across the pond so want to minimise post costs/ hassle.
Am thinking 2 bases, a vestibule, and a tarp.
To create the biggest range of options.

Some questions please.
Where would you put stove jacks?
Am kinda thinking 3?
What height/ length of flue?

Am thinking medium stove, with the stove upgrade pack,
although on the website it says large to medium conversion?
Assuming it is medium to large,
would some of the extra sides be useable as utility trays?

Anyone any experience of the rain cap in fierce winds?
How is it attached?

Many thanks for your patience with all my questions.
I've been obsessing about one of theses systems for a long time.
Our weather here gets utterly grim,
and this could be a keystone piece of kit to reduce suffering!

Cheers

Sorry, some more questions.
Does the LBO have the interior stake-out loops yet?
Are all stoves coming with an integrated air intake control?
cheers

Hi

Stove Jack placement , it depends tarp is great for using BTB and up to 4 people, the 3 p vestibule is great for solo or two, in one of the bases is good for both setups

Yes intake control is on all titanium stoves

no interior stake out loops , but we view it as the tent can vent so well, it isn't really a problem for venting.

Hello,
thank you so much for your reply.
Am keen to get this ordered soon!
Would the stove conversion kit allow me to have utility trays?
An 8' or 9' flue?
Rain cap ok in gaels?
Thanks
John

No on sides for utility tray. Utility tray has holes for mounting
5.5 to 6 ft of pipe

Rain cap ok

So a large utility tray with a couple of extra holes would do both the large and medium stoves?
Is it best to keep the flue length shorter, obviously for weight, but maybe for use with the vestibule, or any other reason?
As I was thinking maybe longer to be compatible with other tents down the road.
Thanks
Sorry for all the questions
Just want to get it right....as best I can!
Any other suggestions very appreciated!!!

Large would work with both with extra holes

Shorter is better unless planning on a bigger tent

Questions are good . We want you to get it right the first time

otherwise, what is stock situation, do you have stock of LBO and Medium stove?

No idea on import duties , nothing in stock . Mostly build to order. We try to pre build but most stuff is sold by the time we have it . Sometimes we have a few stoves in stock but they seldom last more than a couple days
