Today was Gearmas! Got my Divide 4200, LBO and some clothes and things.

Got the pack roughly adjusted and put 50 pounds of dog food in it, plus the LBO and a bivy. Brought the total weight to about 55 pounds.

Took it for a 20 minute walk in the hills around my house. It feels good, initially. The belt doesn't seem to want to slip. The way the suspension floats off the pack is really different and a little weird when setting it up.

I'd love to have someone who's an expert fit it with me, but I think I'm close. The overall quality of the build is great. Nice stitching.

Love the X33. The stretchy pockets don't seem like they want to hold much when the pack is really full. We'll see how it goes when I put a more normal camping load in. I plan to do a short overnighter with the family for Father's Day. It will be good to get a couple hours in the pack.

It looks pretty good as far as fit. It is super simple to fit these packs. The main thing, really is making sure the belt has enough coverage, and once you have your fit making sure there is not any extra slack in the harness webbing. It can be locked down further by threading the harness through both sides of the tri glide on the rear and adjusting ladder lock manually to take out slack.

You can wear it a ton of ways, I'd suggest not being obsessed with a super tight fit (some people are) and find what works. I can use the pack with normal loads and the harness sort of loose and it way stay on my hips well. I do this , to allow a little air flow if I am hot. I can also lock it down to where it flat out will not move , and I can find spots in the middle. The reality, is most of the time I go have a slightly loose fit at lower weight, and tighten it as the load gets heavy, but I tighten it enough to keep it stable and not a lot more (that is how I prefer it)

There are supposed to be a bunch of accessory strap attachment points but I never can see them in the pictures. For example, an added middle compression strap would attach where? To the middle daisy chain?

The bottom straps shown in many photos are accessory, the middle strapping for pulling down roll top is an accessory, You can also run it around as a middle, or use extra webbing as a middle with an extra buckle (which is what I did). All the places there is a ladder lock, there is also a loop for strapping.

In total there are
- 4 at the bottom panel below stretch pocket
- 4 on the junction of rear panel and side panels that are doubled up on ladder lock (2 per side)
- 2 (one per side) located near frame and center of pack
- 1 Over the top


Here is my current setup
- 2 buckles added below stretch pocket
- The frame hold down straps are not going to ladder lock for frame , but going around and I added a buckle to each and they are mating to the 2 buckles added above. This save 2 strap points , and unless I need to carry something big, or extend the frame heigh it gives me enough room to strap something small and still acts as a frame hold down
- The center straps for roll top hold down, I have an extra buckle on to wrap around back as 3 rd compression strap .
- The Over the top, is sometimes used sometimes not
