How the hell can you sleep with a pole right in the middle of the nest?...have enought space for one pers on each side? Really cool set up if the pole wasnt there or just hang the tipi with a rope on a tree branch using the top loop.

Just seal the 4 corners
I use a prusik knot and clip ... Prusik on pole clip nest to it
With 2 poles you can use strapping
There is enough room on each side of pole as long as you don't want to spoon
With a decent extension you can pitch BT 2 with an inverted V and trekking poles
