Post pics of pack outs both large and small.

My Dads buck, shot at last light and fell in a terrible spot. Had to get him the next morning. Not real far to go so I didn't quarter. 156 lbs.

These pictures are sooo strange for us Western Europeans Yup we don't have a hunting culture here. When you walk around with such a pack around here you probably will get jailed (you need a hunting license and a designated area and probably not allowed to openly carry your kills or wapens) or lynched by animal lovers. But that doesn't keep me from appreciate your hobbies and nice pics.

I thought certain places like Finland had a big hunting culture, at least from what I hear from some customers. Our culture goes either way, depending on where you are. For me, Elk is the best food you can find, way better than anything at the store.

Well Finland is indeed Western Europe still but it's a bit far out of my area. So you might be quit right about that, perhaps in some more Nordic countries it's better to be a huntsman. In Belgium there is also more room to hunt in the last season of the year, but again it needs permits and such. In my country, Netherlands, it's all severly regulated

Well we have an extensive permit system and draw system as well. Generally you can get certain tags for certain areas pretty reliable and the rest is a draw system. A lot of it is actually game management and population control based. If there are too many animals they will die in the winter due to there not being enough winter range. We also have a hunters safety requirement etc, but IMO what we could use more than anything is a hunting ethics. That however , would be a very slippery slope, I don't like it when people take pot shots , well out of their effective skill or fire arm range, nor do I like some people's hunting tactics. Those comments, in themselves could be an interesting thread, and probably get lots of discussion both negative and positive
