Very cool. I'm just full of questions, but I figure it would do some good to ask here where everyone can see the answers.
I know the standard 2 man nest is designed to be integrated with the LBO without extra stakes. Is the same thing true with the Cimarron if I use some cordage?
Like I said in an email last week, I'm on the fence between the LBO and the Cimarron. How do you think the Cimarron compares to the LBO in terms of dealing with wind?
Do you think the Cimarron would be a little excessive as a one person shelter? I know it's all personal preference, but it's good to hear different perspectives. In the summer, it will be me and the wife, but I have a feeling my fall adventures will be solo about half the time (with a small-ish stove).
The super light weight of the LBO appeals to me, and it would definitely be a huge upgrade in available space compared to the 2-man backpacking tents we've used in the past. My stove is a homemade one modeled on the design on the Hill People Gear website, but I haven't run it in a tent yet and I think it might work better for a smaller shelter. But part of me thinks that the Cimarron doesn't weigh much more, the price is right, it's taller, and I never really hear folks complain about having too much space.
