Have to share some pictures from this past weekend in the Hoh Rainforest of Olympic National Park on the Olympic Peninsula of WA state.
We had perfect weather in a region that can produce anywhere from 140-170 of inches of rain a year! However this makes for some truly spectacular old growth trees and extremely lush vegetation. Also home of the Roosevelt elk which are massive in stature. Worth a trip for any outsider, just be sure to bring your rain gear.
All these rivers that feed from the Olympic mountain range into the pacific provide some of the best salmon and steelhead fishing there is. The Hoh has remained completely natural and pristine since it sources from well inside the national Park, providing the best habitat for spawning fish possible. It's truly a beautiful, unique and raw region of the Pacific Northwest.
