Bottle Wings - New Product

Postby kevin_t » Fri Feb 20, 2015 10:20 am

Once again, more photos coming soon, but you can see a prototype in the Multi-Lid post Luke did.

Bottle Wings attach to a lower compression strap and the frame and are a separate from the pack bag bottle pocket. Bottle Wings have more adjustability and cand be used either wrapping behind the frame as a pair, or attached singularly from the frame to the hipbelt. They are sold in sets, since they are a right and left. 4 ounces for the pair and made of 500D Cordura. The primary benefits of this are
- On an Evolution, you can now use a dry bag, and have bottle pockets. You can also have bottle access with just a talon, or a talon an a multi-lid. Essentially, these make it far more usable in these configurations.
- Bottle pocket access. If you want good bottle pocket access you can use it from the frame to the hipbelt on any suspension / packbag of ours
- It separates the bottle from the packbag, so there is no conflicting duty so to speak.

Ask away

When you say good access...can you more easily access the water bottles with the pack on?

It depends. It is a stretchy / forward facing cord and lock. That part is easier. The pocket is also dimensional, since compressing flat is less of a concern. If you face it forward and connect to pals on the belt it is certainly easier. If it is wrapped around a frame that does not have much gear, then no it is not.

This is awesome. So you can simply thread through the lower compression strap for the top connection, and then the bottom somehow attaches to the frame?
