I can get some more pictures this week probably. I am going to try and get out for some snow shoeing and will set the tent up for a lunch break. School starts back up on the 26th for me so trips will be drastically cut down haha as my schedule is a bit tight. As for the nest, I am guessing that question was for Kevin but if not, I have no clue. I don't have a nest for my tent but have considered getting one.

sweet setup. I plan on using my tipi (when I get it) for snow mobile / ice fishing trips in western NY, as well as for steelhead fishing the Lake Erie and Lake Ontario tribs during the winter months.

What color is your tipi? If it is the Redwood, it looks completely different in these two pictures than it does in first picture of it next to your truck. Can you clarify?

Yeah, quite the change huh!? So, this is the redwood as far as I know. I got it used but 99% sure that's the color. The first picture actually had the sun out and was mid day. That's fairly bright still and that's probably due to my editing of the photo. I can see I added an orange filter to the picture and cleaned it up a bit. That's not to far off from the color though. The ice fishing picture was taken at night actually. The sun was going down and to get those pictures I had to do a long exposure shot. I would say the color is pretty close to the second picture I posted. Maybe a tad darker? Let me see if I can dig up some photos that I haven't touched :P .

The color is really nice on the eyes and blends in well with most environments. I read your thread with your concern about the coloring so Ill try my best to help you out. If I can't find a picture, I can take one tomorrow of the fabric on my front lawn in the sun.

Taco

THat would be great. I just about had my self talked into the redwood, but then came across another picture of it online. Some pictures it has a very strong red tone to it…almost like a copper clay color. Which I hate. But then in others It looks like a dark coyote brown, with I kinda like.

What species are you going after when ice fishing? Lake trout? Rainbows? Walleye? Perch?

Well the sun didn't show today so I didn't grab a pic. The color doesn't have a strong red to it IMO. I fish for trout almost exclusively. I never target lake trout but if I catch one I don't complain haha.

Alright, the sun once again didn't show today but it was still pretty bright out so I gave it a shot. This is probably a tad darker than you would see it in the sun but you should be able to see the color fairly well. At least the red tone you were talking about. After taking it out again I will say you can see the red in it. It's not bad though, very "earthy". I bet you could get a fabric sample sent to you for a minimal fee, if any.
