I guess this question largely depends on use case and needs, but I'm curious if you would recommend for example, the 8 man with a nest, and XL stove, or an 8 man with just the liner and XL stove? I'm from the Pacific Northwest in good ol Western Washington which can prove to be wet indeed, especially during fall (hunting season) and winter.

Curious as to which setup you would recommend to best accommodate these conditions? Thanks

That's definitely helpful and makes perfect sense.

I guess I was thinking about the half nest in my question. Most of my thought is going into fall/winter camps during hunting season with 3 or 4 guys, with XL stove and all of our gear.

I now think in this case, a liner would be sufficient for our uses. A nest (whether it be 2 person, or half) sounds like it could become a later purchase should I need it for help with buggy conditions when out in the summer months. Thanks again!

A liner is fine for those uses. Add a nest if you expect big bug problems
