question re: Evo vs. Unaweep

Postby GDM » Mon Dec 29, 2014 10:01 pm

I'm considering the purchase of a Paradox pack. Mainly just to backpack, carry my share of the gear plus some.. perhaps someday to use on that hunt-of-a-lifetime.. While the Unaweep is probably the best fit for what I need, I like some of the flexibility of the Evo style mix and match system..

I think I know the answer already (..."no"...), but is there a way to carry a water bladder "outside" on the Unaweep? e.g. the way you can sandwich it between frame and packbag on the Evo?

Can't have it all, I know.. the Talon with water bladder holder fills the need, no doubt, just curious from what I saw/heard in the videos..

Thanks, looks like a great product! Anyone near Washington DC have one I can check out in person prior to buying?

You could hang a bladder from the harness adjustment ladder locks behind the back pad, but I don't think I would as it would be in the way and possible could get abraded by webbing. Likewise, it can be in between the pack bag and frame on an evo, and it is a bit better protected but not great. You can hang it in a packbag on either and run it out the roll top which is what I would do. Yes it's a risk, but no more than any other bladder in a bag

Just my 2 cents
