Side Access Zipper or No Side Access

Is it possible to choose which side of the pack for the zipper to be installed?

All your packs seem to have the zipper on the port side when the pack is worn. Any particular reason why not the starboard side?

(Somewhere I saw your terminology for the different sides of the pack, but can't find it now.)

Chopchop, the side zip matches up with the Base Talon zip, so you can access both from the same side. I don't anticipate changing that as it is one of those things that seems stupid simple, but provides an unreal amount of functionality.

I have found that the side zip doesn't affect waterproofness at all if the pack is upright like its being worn. If it was laying down so water could pool in the rain flap Then it'd probably penetrate.
