In the UK we tend not to use cots at all and find a thermarest neo air 4 season works well in the cold with an emergency blanket below with the added advantage that you can clear space in the tent during the day easily

i like the idea of the luxury lite cots, but they are over 200$. I bought one of the cabelas litweight cots (10#s) for 50$.
