Bottle for me. Only reason why is because no one has made a stainless bladder. I hate drinking out of plastic containers.

Bottles for me for two reasons.
1. With a full pack I am always worried that I will have a leak inside my pack.
It has not happened but that was why I quit using the bladder with a full pack.
2. My water filter screws on to the bottles as I filter which is an easy, clean way to filter.
I use a locking caribiner attached to the bottom of each shoulder strap for each 1 liter bottle.
Not as convenient as a bladder but slide it up for access to the clip.

I favor bottles usually used water bottles or Gatorade bottles. I have a couple bladders one a cheap Walmart bladder cut off to be used only for gravity filtering and an MSR bag used for dry camps. I also have a sawyer bag that I carry often but just for squeeze or gravity usage

I like bladders for normal drinking. However, I carry a small bottle to mix drink supplements and to measure water for self dehydrated meals.

Bladders as a big guy i need to stay hydrated and if i had a bottle then i tend to drink too much at once requiring me to pony up when i get more water.. plus i love having a tube to get water whenever i want instead of reaching around or hanging off of belt..etc etc

Both. I am going to try the jetflow system this year, you can use a bottle as the bladder. I won one in a Facebook contest a couple years ago and am finally gonna give it a try.

Bottles as well.. tried both and just prefer them. One thing I noticed is I drink a lot more using bottles vs a bladder/tube.
