It's not often I make a purchase based off an article alone. I am fairly decent at researching as well as talking with friends, family, co-workers, etc. Well I recent did an overnighter in a local area called Wolf Run Wilderness with some old equipment and the biggest area in need of improvement was the tent. I was cramped and my equipment had to sit out in the rain... Growing up in Arizona, rain was almost mythological so it's never really been an issue for me. To make a short story long... Reading an article in Backcountry Journal by Scott Reekers I jumped in with both feet. I purchased a BCS2 with a TI stove. I've never seen one, much less camped in one but it all seemed to make perfect sense on how I wanted to camp in the backcountry. So while I wait to receive my tipi/stove I wanted to extend a big thank you to Sreekers for his article.
Thank you,
Tad
