Can anyone tell me the difference between the stove jack for tents ($40) and the LBO stove jack for $55 ?

Hi all,

Confused about stove assembly. The video shows butterfly nuts on the top of the stove while other photos show the stove assembled with them on the bottom-- a much preferable option. Also, what do people do to deal with placing the stove on snow?

We provide with the stoves wing nuts and T nuts. What you use where is really a batter of what you prefer. I prefer wing nuts everywhere, unless I need more cooking surface.

On snow, we offer a utility tray, which is another bottom. It can be used as sort of an oven, a warming tray or as a snow platform.

is there a BTU rating for any of the stoves?

Stoves are always a trade-off between weight and duration of burn and amount of heat. For a LBO, I'd probably just get the Medium. You should be able to damper it down to a slow burn and get a couple hours of burn time out of it. If you open her up and let her roar, you could produce way too much heat for the LBO. Anything bigger would be overkill, IMO.

In tents, a customer mentioned getting 2.5 hrs burn with eco bricks in a large stove. I would imagine that would still be a lot of heat in an LBO sized tent
