You should Kevin. Here are a few more pictures from today out halibut fishing. The mountains/volcanoes are Redoubt and Iliamna both are just a little over 10,000 feet elevation.

Neat photos. Is that Blue Lakes Basin, Kevin? Or somewhere in the San Juans?

That is Blue lakes in the San Juan Mountains. Certainly scenic, but usually crowded so I don't make it there that often.

There are a lot of other scenic lakes in the San Juans as well, I'm not sure how versed you are in them. Island lake is terrific, as is Columbine, but I've never caught a fish in either. Highland Mary area fishes well. I know some places in the Weminuche fish well, and are scenic as well.

Great stuff Kevin... looks amazing. I always wonder about mountain lakes like that - are they stream/spring fed or does all the water come from melting snow?
