New with questions

Hi, I'm from the south so not a backcountry hunter. I have some questions about the paradox system.
1. How does the frame feel on your shoulders/back compared to other high end packs?
2. I have not seen a pack without a lumbar pad. Why is that different in this case?
3. Is the material relatively quiet for a bowhunter?

The material is quite when in use. When below freezing it can be sort of loud. It's not fleece quite but as far as brush the noise of the pack when worn is minimal.

A lumbar pad is simply not needed in this design and is in fact a detriment. The belt naturally curves to your body. A lumbar pad is used as a crutch with a static belt to get it to conform to your body. This one naturally conforms and your body acts as the stiffener . A much more solid and efficient design.

Regarding how it feels vs other high end packs ? Perhaps Nathan can answer that better, but IMO it feels good. It rides very close , but is not confining. Honestly for me , movement is not restricted much vs a little day pack. I often use the paradox as a day pack

You actually touched on a topic I've wondered about...is it comfortable with light daypack loads??? Typically, that's all I'd be carrying for my kind of hunting.

I'm also curious about how a load of meat fits against your back. I may have missed it, but don't see anything to keep it from pressing into your back once the load is hung.

Yes very comfortable with a light load.

Meat against the back, it depends on how you pack it. Most users seem to compress it between the pack bag and Talon or put it in the bag, although you can use the load shelf as well. IMO it depends on the load and situation. If you have a full pack bag, and need to get out in one trip, use the load shelf, if it's a couple loads it may be easier to compress between Talon and Pack bag or put in the pack bag.

Thanks for taking my call. I thought of one more question...does the pack have functional 'load lifters' ?

Yes very functional lifters. With the extensions we could get good lift on an NBA center if need be
