I'm thoroughly impressed by these XL stoves. Amazing, and I was impressed by how well the damper operation actually works.

One thing I did notice though, my damper assembly does come out of the top of the stove hole super easy. It wasn't like that initially, only after a couple burns. I put down a ring as close as I can get it when attaching the pipe over the damper, and when I situate the pipe sometimes, it will just pull the damper right out when moved. I'm going to try and expand the crimped part myself to make the fit more snug.

It wasn't a problem when I was testing it all out, but if there was ever any wind, I would be more concerned on figuring out a way to make sure it stays seated.

If so...we discuted about this problem in an other thread...maybe your hole in your stove jack is too tight for the pipe,i had this problem too with wind and i cut a little more larger the hole fabric and now its good, thanks to Kevin.

That would be correct the jack is a little tight and should be loosened a bit
