What is the consensus around here on an UL Stove? I recently picked up a LBO and would like to take it out in the cold cold this winter.
Thanks in advance,
Kelly

How cold, and what do you want from a stove (heat / cooking / burn time) ? We used to have the sibling which was as light as it gets, and effective, but it was not a big seller so we discontinued it.
A twig burner, really will heat an LBO pretty well. It just takes a lot of stoking. A real big stove, takes a lot of wood prep. There are trade offs. For me, if I want long burn I would take an SXL, if I wanted lightweight immediate heat I would take a sibling or a stove I'll show in a few days.

It's amazing how much wood even a small stove will go thru in one night. Just spent 5 days in the mountains and saw 6" of snow and it took a lot of time with the Wyoming saw to have enough wood for that much time.

seems like about one hour of heat is all we can get out of a small stove with out refilling it. is that pretty standard?
