Pitching on bare rock

Hey there,
I'm considering the Cimarron as my next tent, with a nest of some sort, but the last few years a lot of my trips have been on the Georgian Bay coast which is pretty much solid Canadian shield with about 1" of soil in places. Stakes can't be driven in and I use rocks tied to guylines to keep my current rain fly tight enough to stay off the inner tent walls and shed rain.
Would I be able to get the Cimarron tight enough just using rocks for the stake points?
