A lightweight 2 person bivy gets my vote, but I'm a gram counter.

Same here - would only take a nest over a bivy if car camping. Not even then really - might as well take advantage of tipi space and use cots in that case.

I would be interested in a 4-season Nest.

My answer is that it depends. When combatting bugs & mosquitos here in MN, an enclosed nest is the way to go. Bivies are too hot. However in the winter time or in shoulder seasons when not battling the blood suckers, a bivy or just a tarp on the ground is better. I already have some bivies and there are many places to buy them. I think the time would be better invested in perfecting the nest.

Agree with gustafsj, there are lots of bivies out there.

At this point I would be more interested in seeing a nest as I already have a lightweight bivy and for some reason haven't seen a nest that I have felt like getting.

During bug season, a 2 person nest.
I like the stove so again a nest and the LBO during cold weather.
