We are contemplating new colors, and as always we like to circle back and ask people. Sometimes desires change. For instance early on, Tan was not popular, but the latest version of Tan has been very popular. Green was always so so popular, but never what brown was. Here is your chance to comment

Has the Grizzly Brown Color, which on the website looks like dark tan, changed? Has the manufacturer in China substituted
a darker brown fabric?
I have just received my 6-man Tipi and was very surprised how dark the fabric is...almost black in color.
I also noticed on the website that there are new photos of tents / tipis in this new color (which were not on the
website when I purchased the tent)...and older photos of tipis in the old, lighter "Grizzly Brown Color".
Thanks,
AlaskaMan

What are the the choices Kevin? I imagine there's probably quite a few more options in the silnylon than what there would be in the cuben fiber. Are there any camo patterns?

The color is the same as on the website in many of the main photos and sliders. It does look almost black packaged but brown when pitched.

Cuben has a few choices , green shown on our site , a charcoal black which is actually pretty cool as well as camo. Silnylon has several, and we can get any color made however brown has been the most popular and the reason we use it. I'm not super picky myself. I've used tan, silver, green and brown and all are pleasant to me. I probably prefer tan, but it wasn't as popular in the lightweight fabrics however it has been very popular in in the heavier fabric for winter campers
This is an excellent opportunity to talk fabrics which I will elaborate on in another thread in the next few days.

I voted for a lighter color, I think that would be nice for stealthy winter camping. Moreso than the tan.

I prefer the look of gray, but a tan or brown is supposed the best for camouflage in almost any environment according to ASATcamo.
