stove/BCS combination

stove/BCS combination

Postby yardsale » Sat Apr 05, 2014 4:32 am

Hi all,

Considering this tent as a light weight alternative to the Snowtrekker tent we have. What size stove would be appropriate for use in this tent? We intend this as a base camp for skiing so we need to be functional down to, ideally, -20F.

Also, can anyone provide a plan view of the floor space so I can visualize where stove and two people might be arranged?

Lastly, what are people using for a ground tarp when camping on snow?

Thanks,

Go XL or SXL on stove. There is no liner option, only a nest. I use a light bivy or a piece of plastic painters tarp.

It's very similar to the LBO and 3 part vestibule in layout. It is essentially a 7 by 8.5 ft sq, with the tipi shaped vestibule, which is about 4 ft circumference , but closer to 5 at the front.
