Lil Bug Out Specific Questions

I am considering the LBO for my AT thru hike next year. I would be using it solo. I know that the base and 3 piece vestibule will work, but I am concerned about the space required in often tighter camping areas. Two questions. First, what are the general dimensions of the base and 3 piece vestibule? Second, I don't want to carry the added weight of a bivie and I am concerned about getting wet in heavy blowing rain. Have you ever done a small custom vestibule that would zip into the base, making it fully enclosed with a smaller footprint? Am I missing the boat here? Any general thoughts would be appreciated.

We have thought about the small vestibule before ... Not sure if we will do it . We do have some plans to look at the LBO options , maybe expand them a bit , but it will happen when we have some time later this fall. The base is roughly 8.3 by 5 feet . The 3 part is essential a 4 ft diameter half circle . The LBO gives a ton of options for pitching in various terrain and it's one of the things I like the most . When I did some of the CDT a few years ago , I used it fully enclosed , pitched open with almost a porch ... Just depending on what I felt like .
