A question about bugs

I've debated cutting the bug netting out of my 4 man. I am waiting to see how much I like it in the spring/summer when bugs are out and about. In the winter its just an annoying piece of fabric for me haha.

I went with no screens on my 8 man. Just received it today which I'm excited about. I'll think about investing in a nest if bugs do get bad enough in the summer months

Would there be a way to make the netting completely able to zip out when not using it? Seems like this would be a nice feature to be able to remove it when there are no bugs to bother.

I think the extra weight would be worth not having the nuisance of the netting when you don't need it. It already has most of the zipper there to make the door opening.

Correct , we have experimented with this and other ways in the end
We don't care for Velcro , the weight and expense of the zippers are almost as much as the netting built in , other methods we tried just did not seal well enough or were to finicky .
