I've noticed in some photos there are dogs nearby. What type if a dog do you have and do they go out often ?

I have 3 dogs , 2 border mixes and a lab mix.

Not the best photo for certain, but they all are ready to go out whenever I am.

Wilson, is a cover and sleeping pad steeler, Merle is a great summertime backpacking dog. Very diligent and low maintenance. The lab mix , well he is lovable and entertaining but he needs some coaching

Bella, our chocolate lab. She pretty much goes everywhere with us. Best river dog anyone could ask for.

My 11 year old lab goes nearly everywhere
She is more fit than I am.

My canine partners have been Mountain Curs. My buddy's dogs are border collies. We outfit them with Wolfpacks.....loaded with dog food on the way in and some of our gear on the way out. They add immensely to the trail pleasures.

I have a deposit down on a Deutsch Drahthaar that provided everything goes good will be ready to come home in April.

I have a 13 1/2 year old Brittany that just loves to hunt chukars. She has slowed way down from her younger years, but still has enough energy to run me around for long 1/2 day hunts!

I'm in the market for a dog. I'd prefer a mix that stays at home, good with kids, good hiking dog, and won't run cattle. Any suggestions?

That's a Labrador all the way, but you probably shouldn't listen to me as I'm a little bias.
