Thought I would post some hunting and fishing pictures from adventures in Bush Alaska, most of them are from the Yukon river area. My home town is Galena Alaska, located 300 air miles or 400 river miles from Fairbanks Alaska. No roads in, no roads out, just what I like.

My sons moose from 2013 age 12, this one was 60", we called it into the grass lake to within 15 yards before our black lab started growling at it. He put it down with his 308 youth rifle.
My wife to be with her moose from 2013. She used my sons 308. Moose was bedded down on the side of a lake and she stocked up to with 50 yards of it. I had to hold the dog back while she stocked, he was not too happy, really wanted to help.

My son and his friend with his first moose, taken September of 2014. We lucked out on this one, the right place at the right time, crossed the river while we were checking hunting locations just before dark. He hunted with us for two year and saw nothing, finally payed off.

Sow and three large cubs at the confluence of Hotsprings creek and the Melozi river. Decided to let them fish the mouth that day, didn't want to try convincing them they needed to leave.
