Turkey Season

Postby Nathan C » Tue Apr 08, 2014 5:23 am

The birds are heating up here in TN. They're still in their big fall flocks and haven't split up yet which makes it tough, but a friend and I had a phenomenal weekend anyway.

Called two killed two Saturday afternoon.

The next morning we called two more and killed one.

All were big old longbeards.

18 lbs, 9" beard, 1.25" spurs
22 lbs, 9.25" beard, 1" spurs
20 lbs, 10.5" beard, 1.25" and 1.125" spurs

BTW, the Paradox rocks as a turkey pack. Soooooo much easier that carrying one over your shoulder. It also works well for carrying a blind, chair, shotgun, etc.

I can't believe nobody has replied to this post!
Congrats on a great turkey hunt!
That pack out does look very nice. I packed a merriams out this last spring a few miles "legs over my shoulder" for several miles....
My arms kept falling asleep!
