WTS BCS 2 with Grande Conversion
Posted: Thu Jun 04, 2015 11:28 amOk folks, bare with me here:) This was my first venture into floorless shelters so I did some experimenting. I picked the BCS2 from another member here on the forum in excellent condition. Note: This is one of the first BCS2's off the line so it is a little different from current models (longer, and will get to this later). The carbon pole for this model is all carbon (no stainless steel base).
I decided to add the Grande conversion to get a little more room for gear, people and stuff. I purchased the conversion brand new from Seek Outside and it has the stove jack sewn in, but it is a little shorter than the original and of course is a different color. Surprisingly this does not pose any problems as you just stake accordingly.
I have used the BCS2 in Grande mode three times. Once in slushy rain with 30MPH winds and twice in the desert. The good news is I am completely sold on floorless shelters. I stayed very dry in the slushy rain with heavy winds and was so warm that I had to open to the doors for venting. The bad news (for me) is that I mainly car camp, and I want more head room, so I am going with a more traditional canvas type shelter.
So you are get a smoking deal just because this is a bit of a hodge podge from different production runs that has seen a couple of uses in the field. Always packed dry and cleaned. All in excellent/used condition. oh...and all seam sealed so its all ready to go.
I am asking $715.00 for the set CONUS. You are basically getting the Grande Conversion and Carbon Fiber pole upgrade for free. Will ship USPS priority mail with tracking. Please PM me for paypal details.

Note: The BCS2 has a storage sack sewn in, otherwise you will need to provide your own sacks and stakes.
