Cool. THank you for the update. I'm in no hurry. Just got a synthetic EE bag, but would like a down to compliment it for nicer weather and the FF name and quality makes me interested in the Flicker.

Thank you again.

Anticipation. I know my Flicker has shipped and I am so excited to get it , I almost wanted to drive across state to get it off the delivery truck :) Now I know how some of our customers feel once they receive a shipping notice

Ha, that's awesome you feel the same way we do. I'm really excited to get my shipping notices from you guys. Can't wait for you to get the Flicker either to see what you think of it.

This far I like it but I'd be lying if I said I spent the night in it. It is well made , operates intuitively and seems like it would cover a broad range of temps well. Loft is a little less than my 15 degree bag which is to be expected. It fits a bit tighter but I plan to use it more often as a quilt and zip it tighter when needed . The center zip seems to work well and snagging is minimal. Draft collar appears well done. I am happy with the purchase. I'll report more once I've spent a few nights in it

Awesome. Will look forward to how you feel it works, especially on the colder night.

First test was positive. I slept with it zippered, and felt I was at the borderline of comfy sleep as far as temp and the temp said 24 F, so pretty accurate IMO. I wasn't wearing any additional insulation.

I would not recommend it for large people. I am not as skinny as I am sometimes, but I am not a brute either. I am sort of lanky at 6'1 180 -190 ish and feel I am close to the size limits. I would not argue with an extra inch of girth in the mid to shoulder section. For my stated / desired use, which is often as a quilt it will be more than fine. It is also small enough to put in a large bag for real cold weather camping.

Really useful information, particularly about the temp and size. Temp wise it sounds like exactly what I would want it to do, but the girth thing does trouble me a bit. I'm 5'9", about 195, so I'm wondering if it wouldn't be too tight in sleeping bag mode.

Thank you for the thoughts.

Girth is 62 so if you have a comparison , I am not sure how relevant weight is. I'm just sort of lanky so it takes room to move my elbows etc . My marmot at 64 is roomy

Thank you Kevin. I have a synthetic EE quilt I can compare it too. Those numbers shoudl be helpful!

Another test , still yard test , but went to bed sweaty from a good day , made a fire etc basically all the stuff you would do backpacking. Slept in basic hiking clothes plus a fleece . Used it more open like a quilt and I was very comfortable. Morning temp reading was 28. Not sure which way I sleep warmer in it yet.
