Has anone tried the new Kom's ? They look like they may give a good balance for what I like.

Personally, I have a BC setup, that is ok, but I'm not a big fan of putting skins on and off, and while the Garmont Excursions certainly beet an alpine boot, I still usually use HOKS , despite my poor form at time due to the ability to just use my preferred hiking boot.
I find the hoks difficult to control in dust and crust, and not really enough side cut for conditions that are not powder. If I could improve those aspects, it would be a real winner in my book.

I have not tried this ski gear products . I always search for ski products online from reputed stores. After going through the various collection I make choice. I take help of ski instructor to guide me for the best branded products.

It looks interesting. White Grass Cross Country Ski Resort in Davis, WV is on the list as having rentals. White Grass instructs on Cross Country skiing and rents snowshoes and cross country ski gear. Great place to visit. That may be on my list of things to check out this winter.
