I've got a Ratmandu knife on order and need to order a sheath for it. I was wondering if any of you backpackers had a favorite way to carry a sheath knife when using a backpack with a waist belt. Thanks

Velcro is pretty hard to beat if you're strictly looking for weight savings.
A little bit heavier but another good option.

Yes, it's a Kestrel. I purchased a couple knives from Nate earlier this year, haven't used them yet, but they appear to be very well made. Hopefully I'll be skinning and caping goats with them in October. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Nate is a real good guy. Mine got some use last year and worked well. Not as sharp as a Havilon of course, but I think I prefer them over the Havilon. I hate field changing those blades. It always feels like disaster is imminent.
Nate should come on here and show of his knives a bit, I think this group would appreciate them.
