Favorite summer time stove

What is your fav summertime stove ? I have a vargo but never really got that loving feeling ( maybe user error) . I've been using an alcohol but would like to get back to wood so fuel is not a concern when packing or preparing. I also don't want to get my stuff all sooty

Impossible combination not get your gear sooty and burning on wood. Unless you use a closed woodstove. When i not taking my closed titanium woodstove I use a simple bushcooker

I was given a solo stove which I like (bushbuddy knockoff). I plan on getting a tatogear element wood stove at some point.

When I take a stove it's my old Optimus 8R, but I've been using alcohol recently for the lighter weight and simplicity. I do like a tiny wood fire though. It's even simpler and kind of nostalgic.

My stove is so low tech you will laugh. I hav a single burner Coleman gas. I've had it for almost 20 years. It has very good stability for a small stove. It has it's own tank so if you consider the tank on a wisperlight, there is t that much difference in weight. The flame is adjustable so I can turn it down to simmer or save gas. It has never needed any maintenance. Other than that your gear snob friends won't be impressed, it's worth considering. My horse carries my gear and he's never complained about an extra few ounces.
