For my last trip I dehydrated the following
Bananas
Onions and peppers
Chili
Eggs
Lunch meat
Salmon candy
Onions and peppers pretty strait forward and actually very tasty . I ate raw
Bananas just what you expect
Lunch meat just broke in part and was sort of like a jerky substitute
Salmon candy tasty but took a lot of time
Eggs I made a big omlett like 10 eggs or more and broke in pieces ... Did not rehydrate well but wasn't awefull eaten dry. I sort of made soup of it in a cup ... Not horrible not great
Chile ... I made regular chili and spread it on paper real thin and dehydrated it with a few times flipping it. I carried about 2500 calories of it in zip locks and simply added it to hot water in a bowl and let sit 5 minutes or so and it turned out real well . In fact ill make more and save it for next trips.
Salmon candy was decent not great
Ill work on improving the others a bit
