We're headed to south Florida next week for 2 weeks of fun in the sun/sand and a little bit of Tarpon and Snook fishing. Planning on doing a lot of fishing locally this summer then, headed to the Brooks Range for a sheep hunt in Aug. My 11 year old son drew a Kodiak goat tag so Kodiak in Oct. for a goat and hopefully some deer.

I have 3 trips planned and cut in stone. In late June or early July I'm doing the trail between the Frank Church and Selway. The middle of August I'm fishing the Kenai River and hiking into Crescent Lake for Grayling, may have time to fish the Russian river also. In January we are doing the Up Helly AHh fire celebration in the Northern Shetland Islands.

I am itching for a few days this spring in the Escalante Utah area, and would like to spend some time in the Gila as well. I have a million trips I would like to do and I will have to see how things shake out this year. Alaska time would be high on my list, but I'd settle for somewhere in B.C / Alberta. Exploring some areas of the Weminuche or Wind Rivers with a Tenkara rod in my pack would rate high as well.

I am really trying to make Moab this summer for some wheeling. Not cut in stone and summer jobs will likely get in the way. I plan on quite a few short wheeling trips throughout wyoming, plenty of high mountain lake fly fishing for tasty brookies. Otherwise, I am a spur of the moment kind of guy. If I have a weekend off Ill pack up and head towards the mountains in search of fish.
My major goal is to do some legit winter camping at the end of the year. I hope to be better set up for it .

Kevin, I have spent some time around escalante as it is only 1-2 hours from where I live. I also took a trip to the Gila a couple years ago into the "blue wilderness". If you have any questions, shoot me an email. Both areas are huge.

Hoping to hit the Colorado trail this summer. I'm a teacher, so a full thru-hike is a real possibility and what my wife and I are hoping for. I'm excited to put my soon-to-arrive Unaweep to the test this summer! Thinking about a shelter, too, so when the summer's over I should hopefully be able to do some thorough reviews.
This fall will be my first big game hunting season. I've been a backpacker since my boy scout days, and I'm looking forward to tackling a new challenge. I'm looking to hunt just in western Colorado, close to home. Still learning about game units and all that good stuff. The Colorado hunting atlas is my friend.

Our next trip will be a week long llama trip with our kids (6, 8 and 11 years old) and lab mix in the Lost Creek Wilderness of Colorado.
