Grizzlies reintroduced ?

Thoughts ?

Personally, it's not going to happen here. What I wonder is how much would they change the ecosystem ? I could not see them ever having a real significant population. Most of our bear friendly areas are very near private property (choke cherries, oak etc ). It makes for a good news headline and paper seller though :)

Crazy people and grizzlies are the only thing I worry about in the woods.
Grizzlies have a well earned historical reputation of not mixing well with people.
Last weekend I purposely set up in an active black bear area hoping the black bear knew not to expect a griz

There is talk of reintroducing Grizzlies here in Arizona also. I'm not sure how I feel
about it as of yet. Not something that I ever dreamed of considering....

My thoughts are that you probably ought to hope for the Griz to be reintroduced and good chunks of land made available and kept available as habitat. It might be one of the only things that keeps CO like it is now and less like California or New York or other states that continually lose their wildness and backcountry.
