Hi Kevin,
Really appreciate the vid. Quick question, while you noted that the torso is probably too long if the pack separates from your back, how can you tell when it needs to be lengthened? What are the signs?
Thank you

The center of the harness should be just below the little knob at the base of your neck (C7). If it is to short it will be a little lower. There is nothing wrong with it being a little low , it is just that your shoulder straps will have less coverage.
If it pulls away , it likely has to much slack in the adjustment or is a bit to long. With slack, just make sure it is threaded through the adjusters and there is little slack

Thank you Kevin. I know I've said it before but your willingness to answer questions (and rather quickly too) makes me really happy to do business with you guys.

Thanks for the video. I just want to make sure that I understand 2 things correctly.
1) In order to adjust torso length, one just pulls or loosens the strap on this ladder lock? I was not sure if I saw you fiddling with something else like how the bag is threaded onto the frame.
2) When you wrote: "The center of the harness should be just below the little knob at the base of your neck (C7). " Do you mean here ?
or here?

1. Yes but you might need to fiddle with the threading on the back of the hatness to make sure there is no excess slack. Excess slack will make pack pull away a bit at the top.
2. Yes that is correct
3. No option 2 is right

Kevin-When you refer to the *top* grommet on the two attachment straps on the waistbelt, which do you mean, the one closest to the actual body of the belt or the one farther away, which would be *top* when attached.
For a 18.5 inch torso on an old guy with more gut than he should have, which of these would have the belt and pack ride higher when in use?
Thanks, Dewey......love this Divide, thinking of an Evolution 6300 in a bright orangey-red, like a 65 Mustang, for winter trekking-camping on *misery slippers*...........

Closest to belt . For highest ride you can wrap the one closest to belt around frame and attach it ... That is what my current setup is as I like a high ride .. Glad you like it
