The xpac material should be pretty waterproof. Are these packs gonna have any kind of taped seams? Some good close up pics and a release date would be awesome! Also what kind of price range are we gonna be looking at?

I can answer a few of the questions.
One of the things that initially attracted me to SO was the lower price point than their competitors. I am cheap, and am always looking for deals. If we are honest it is one of the things that attracts all of us. So we wonder where they cut corners? Well, i have used just about every shelter they make and no corners cut there.
So, the goal is a high quality product with a great price. Paradox packs will be no different. Expect the pricing to be modeled the same way SO does. In conversations with Kevin and Nathan they have been adamant about giving us the best bang for our money.
The xpac material is good stuff. I will be using a stone glacier soon which has the same material, and have touched it a couple of times now. I hope more companies take note of it.
I will be testing just how waterproof it is. The water hose will be in full force. Will test against cordura and see what the difference is.

Timeline:
The third round of production prototypes should be done next week and will go out to several folks to be run through the ringer. We feel this is necessary to make sure we aren't missing anything and that the final production versions are absolutely nailed.
The website doesn't have much info on it right now, and that is by design. We're working on updating that in the background and will release the content with a ton of detailed photos within a couple weeks. We will offer a pre-order discount and start accepting pre-orders sometime in mid to late July or early August at the latest, and we intend to get the pre-orders delivered by late August to early September.

The seams are bound on the inside of the XPAC bags. Since the seams run nearly vertical, it should stay pretty much waterproof any time it has a vertical orientation (like on your back). I've been very impressed with the durability to weight of the XPAC. It does have a different feel though. I will say, if I was going through the conditions of the group on the ultimate survival Alaska show I would prefer either XPAC or a dry sack combination that gave me the ability to store some basics such as bottles, Ice axe / rope etc.

Website content updated. It should answer some questions. More pics and weights will be added in the next couple weeks.
