Gateway Quick Review

I was looking for a way to get away from using a water bladder set up as well as have a belt located pocket for access to phone or snacks or whatever.
I have used other attachable pouches but the limited pals on the Paradox belt doesn't make those pouches sit as designed. Not that that is a poor layout of paradox belt as the pals aren't intended to be an attach anything set up.
I picked up the gateway for 2 reasons. It has a bottle pouch and s storage pocket.....and its light. Okay that's 3 reasons.
Now I will give you a 4th reason to get one of these. The way it attaches. Your first impression is that it is a little complex for what it is but then the modularity is GREAT!
It can be used as a front set up using the 2 1" shoulder straps. Connecting the split slider bar on each shoulder strap webbing. You can adjust the height of the pouch by altering the height of the slider bars.
But here he how I have the pouch attached to one side and I love it!
I attached 1 slider bar to the actual pack 3/4" compression straps and around the front attached 1 of the slider bars to the 1" shoulder strap near the to of the belt. I could loosen one side of the pouch and tighten up the other side to have it offset to one side and keep that 1ltr bottle of water from hitting my leg.
So far I love it!
