Just returned from a 2 day traverse with my Evo 4800 pack. WOW. 46 pounds 7 miles day one 14 day two. Had snowshoes under the talon with a shovel, I carried the tent poles and a role of reflectix under the shelf. First long haul with this pack and it took a couple hours of hiking to get everything settled but once set it was extremely comfortable. Held tight and that talon is the snot! Only one downer, I fell and I think my ice ax got the talon,maybe a 1 inch tear,oh well. GREAT product and can't wait to elk hunt with it this October
