New Multi Lid

Hello everyone, my name is Luke and I'm the new guy around the shop. I started work just in time to help a little with the final stages of the Multi Lid design so i thought I'd share some pictures of it.

Here are some pictures of it on a 4800 unaweep:

a view of the single zipper access:

opens nice and wide; that's a Patagonia hooded down sweater stuffed in there.

There is also an internal pocket in the floor of the lid:

I took a prototype out for a day hike yesterday (finished design looks almost identical, just a little prettier). I found I like to tuck the lid under the talon when using it without a pack bag, as you can see the zipper stays usable to access the lid contents:

Kevin also mentioned a chest pouch mode so I took a few pictures to give you an idea

It attaches by buckles and webbing to the load lifter triglide on the harness and to the lower harness straps like the Gateway front pack. I'm a little guy (38" chest, 31" waist) and I can adjust it up quite snug. Should fit just about anyone:

To take off the pack you can just pop the two QR buckles on one side and leave the other two connected to leave the chest pouch attached to the pack.
All lids will ship with the hardware to use it as a chest pouch.
Lid weight is 4.5oz in VX42.

Nice gear guys.I like your new lid,do you sell them alone with the straps?I have a second frame/pack(sjk rail hauler)who will need a lid with space inside. How much cubic? The brown color is reallllly nice :) The chest rig idea is a good addition i always ends up doing that when i am going fishing and hunting.

We do sell alone . I'm not sure how well it will work on other platforms . About 350 or so cubic

This looks pretty sleek, and I like the option to be able to attach via the extra straps to compression without jeopardizing the whole compression ability to the talon. I definitely see both this and and the bottle wings as future purchase. Nice products

How well does the multi-lid fit on the 3900 bag?

I've had my pack system for a few weeks with the multilid and base talon. My talon has a single clip on the top. With the Multilid it makes sense to have a dual clip on the top of the talon in my estimation. I struggle to use the lower straps with the lid and the straps are easy to disingage from the clips too. I found myself just cliping into the one available clip in the middle of the lid and letting it ride. Still kinda weird.
